I woke up this morning with a wicked sore throat. I hoped it would go away but no. I really hate to use over the counter meds unless I absolutely have to. So I whipped up this nasty looking concoction. It is a mixture of honey and cinnamon. I didn't measure, kinda like I cook lol! Stirred it up and have been snacking on little spoonfulls. Really seems to ease the sting. Honey and cinnamon both have anti bacterial properties. Hopefully tomorrow it will be better!

Awesome Products for Naturally Curly Hair
I haven't always had naturally curly hair. I had stick straight hair most of my life. I hated to try to style it because it would just go flat in a short time. After I had my daughter in 2007 I developed curls. Some people hate there curls but I love mine most of the time. This winter has been hard on my hair though. I developed dry frizzed ends which were back shortly after having them trimmed. I tried everything and have finally come up with a combo that seems to work great for now. Summer may change my routine but for the time being I will be using these awesome products.
As much as I love nice hair I'm not willing to spend a fortune to have it. So when I found Suave Professionals Almond + Shea Butter Shampoo and Conditioner I was thrilled because a large bottle is less than $3 at Walmart. Another thing I like about them is they are 100% Natural. I have been trying to get away from chemicals any chance I get. Since my hair runs on the dry side I got the moisturizing kind and wow it sure makes my hair soft. Plus it smells GREAT!
After I wash and condition my hair I gently towel dry it and comb it with a wide tooth comb then I take a small quarter size dollop of Curls Unleashed Set it Off Curl Boosting Jelly. I rub it through my hair concentrating more on the lower half of my hair. Then I gently scrunch it every so often as it air drys. I supposed you could use a diffuser to dry it if you are in a hurry but I have not tried it it. I found this product at Walmart in the section for African American hair care, it is a huge jar for about $8. I love it! It is a jelly like constancy and it is not sticky or oily and it smells very nice. It is just right. It leaves your hair very soft, not crunch or crispy.
If you have hair like mine let me know if you try these how they work for you!

Awwww Chwwwww Natural Hope for Allergy Misery
Oh my goodness this is my life lately: sneeze, sneeze, sniff, sniff and the itching UHG!! It is making me crazy! I have had hayfever all my life but this year has been awful. I try the over the counter meds to help but even the non-drowsy make me sleepy and foggy. So I went on Pinterest to see if anyone has any natural remedies to help the sneezing, because the sneezing is about to drive me up the wall. Here are a few things I found and am going to try:
This web site Natural Healthy Concepts sells a lot of natural products and also has an article about detoxing for allergy relief. Interesting info.
Young Living Essential Oils carry natural products. I'm not sure if these oils are mixed into water or what but I'm thinking of giving this a try.
I love Women's Day and this article gives 10 natural allergy remedies. I really like honey and probiotic, these are probably the ones I will try first.
I need to start to try some of these ideas ASAP. I will keep you all updated on what works and what doesn't. If any of you have any ideas that work for you please let me know!

I found my old blog; Scrap Your Life by Suzy. Wow I can't believe its been since 2007 since I have written in this blog (and my baby girl was so little!! She is till my baby even though she is 11 now!). Back in 2007 I was doing a lot of scrapbooking and digital scrapbooking, which I loved. I still love it but really can't find the time to do it. I had quite a few post on this old blog so I decided to tranfer the post to my new blog. Some of the pictures are gone but the info is still there. Who knows I might just get the scrapbooking bug again!!

Sunday Thoughts
I enjoyed the sermon at church very much today. The priest told this story:
A man strung a tightrope across Niagara Falls and as a crowd gathered he walked across the tightrope and back again. The crowd was very apprehensive when he started to walk across but as he came back and neared the starting point again they cheered and praised him.
So he asked the crowd if they thought he could walk across blindfolded? They crowd was not sure he could do it and watched as he put on the blindfold and started out across the rope. As he turned and headed back to the start they cheered loudly.
He hooped off the rope and asked the crowd if they thought he could cross the rope blindfolded and pushing a wheelbarrow? The crowd was very unsure about this but cheered the man on. Despite the crowds doubt he put on the blindfold and headed across the rope pushing the wheelbarrow. As he turned around and headed back to the waiting crowd a huge cheer erupted. They were ecstatic.
Back safely on the ground he looked at the crowd and asked do you think I can cross the tightrope blindfolded, pushing the wheelbarrow with one of you in the wheelbarrow?
Silence
As humans do we trust God enough to hoop in that wheelbarrow? Everyday the opportunity arises to put our trust God but most of the time we just charge off on our own thinking that we can control any situation. Sometimes this works for us but when it doesn't we get frustrated.
So maybe the next time God offers us a ride in that wheelbarrow we should really think about taking him up on that offer.

DIY Washer
I don't own a washer and dryer so most of the time I save it up and take it to Mr. Fantastic's house. But there are times when I need a few things washed. So the other day when I saw the foot powered washer I started thinking I would like something like that. Then I saw the veggie rinser and got to thinking that would be an awesome clothes washer. So off to the Dollar Tree I went and bought the white basket for $1. Then off to Walmart to buy the teal bucket for $3.50. The most expensive thing I bought was the laundry soap lol! I set it in the tub, filled it with warm water and soap. Swished it for about 5 minutes.
Dumped out the soapy water filled it with cool water and swished it some more to rinse.
Dump out the water and let the clothes drain in the white basket for a little bit then I hung them from my second shower rod to dry. Easy Peasy and no mess of water splashing out of the sink. I love it and it will work great for camping this summer too!

Very smart!
I love to garden and can't wait to get started! Though I do not have a large garden, I live in an apartment, I still try to grow a small garden each year. This is such a great idea because I hate dragging dirt into the house.
When I saw this on Pinterest it reminded me of something I saw the other day on Facebook. It was a self powered clothes washer. Here is the article:
I absolutely love this and thought why didn't I think of that! Anyway when I saw the veggie washer idea I thought hmmmm why wouldn't this work to was clothes? It would be a little more work and mess than the foot powered washer but I think it would work.
I think a trip to the good ol Dollar Tree might be in order! I will let you know how it works!

Suzy Fantastic
Ok who is Suzy Fantastic you ask? We'll I'm lots of things really: A Midwestern girl, a mom, a business owner, an entrepreneur, a friend, a loving girlfriend and so many more things I can't even describe them all. Some days I'm fantastic others not so much.
View From The Hamster Ball is the way I view my life sometimes. You know how a hamster will run around like crazy going from place to place yet not really getting to any specific place? Well my life is a little like that sometimes lol! You might say I'm a little ADD and OCD combined into one. I love new ideas, products, life hacks, DIY, crafts and business ideas. I am addicted to learning everything about life. I'm constantly bouncing ideas around as fast as that little hamster runs in his ball. I know this makes my family crazy sometimes because they think "Oh no here she goes again starting a new project or idea". So I decided to start a blog to bounce all my thoughts and ideas around in. When you stop by to visit me and my little blog you may find a project idea, recipe, product review, business info or maybe something I find interesting or funny. You never know what you'll find next, kinda like rolling around in that hamster ball!
I'm eager to get started and hope we will be great friends! So feel free to comment. I'd love to here your ideas too!
GET READY TO ROLL!!
