A Soft Heart In A Hard World

I have a soft heart, always have. I was picked on for years as a kid because I was soft, I cried at the mean words which only made me a target. I tried to fake tough, like I didn't care, but I did, deep in my heart I cared so much. I grew up, moved on, tried to not be so soft hearted. I grew a weak shell around my soft heart, it helps but it has cracks. I can't stand injustice, unfairness, mean people or cruel words. Don't get me wrong I will stand up against the unfairness and meanness with a fierceness of a lion, then when I am alone I will cry. Having a soft heart makes you tough, never be ashamed of who you are....I'm not. Someday when I'm gone I hope the people who knew me look back and say "she was a kind of person who really cared and she showed me how to be a better person".

Beautiful World ~ Picture of the Day

Small Town Fair ~ Minden, Nebraska

It's July and it's summer so that means the beginning of fair season. Funny how certain things take you right back to your childhood. The fair is one of those things. The smell of cotton candy and cattle. The sounds of the midway and the bright colors of the carnival rides. If you have never been to a fair your have not lived. It's a summer tradition not to be missed!

Long Time No See

Oh my time flys when you are....busy. That I have been. I started selling Avon and have become absolutely obsessed with photography. It is my new love! Here are a few of my pictures I took recently.

I am especially proud of this one because a Facebook group I am in , Nebraska Through The Lens, have asked me to put this in there coffee table book they are doing to raise money for the victims of the Pilger, Nebraska tornado. It will help the for the holidays. I am humbled they want it in there book because I am just a beginning photographer.
